frequently asked questions

In order to remove some of the 'mystery' involved in booking a band, we have compiled a brief list of frequently asked questions to help you in your decision.

If there is anything you feel we may have missed, please let us know and we'll gladly answer your enquiry and/or add it to the website.

"How much will it cost?"

This depends very much on the individual circumstances of each event. Typically, we would charge between £900 and £1800 depending on the location, duration and timing of the performance(s). We are always happy to quote on request.

"Can I come and see you?"

You will appreciate that the nature of our engagements, on the whole, is private functions and, as such, this would be inappropriate. However, we also perform at a variety of nightclubs and bars in London and the South-East and would be happy to let you know some dates and venues on request should you wish to come and 'check us out'.

"How long do you play?"

Usually 1½ to 2 hours. Most people ask for two 'sets' of between 45 and 60 minutes each. This could alternatively be spread out over three 40 minute sets - we have even been known to do two hours straight through! Ultimately, the choice is yours, but two 1 hour sets with a 30 minute break is the norm.

"How far will you travel?"

This largely depends on your budget. We are based around NW London and play predominantly around London and the Home Counties. However, we would consider most places in the UK, although traveling expenses and any accommodation may have to be reflected in the fee.

"What are the band's requirements?"

A stage is not essential but a suitable minimum space of approximately 14' x 10' is needed to allow us adequate room to set-up our equipment. The area would also need an adjacent 240v domestic power supply - a double socket either side is usually sufficient. Our contract states that we require a changing room large enough for five people to relax in comfort and a hot meal for each band member is to be provided in order for the band to give the best performance.

"What else do you provide?"

A P.A. system (obviously) so we can be heard. Where necessary - such as most private functions - we will also provide full stage lighting. We have a variety of dance-floor music that we can play from MP3 through our sound system during the periods where we are not performing - thereby eliminating the need for (and cost of) a separate disco. Assuming we don't already know them, we can also work-out any special requests you may have (usually restricted to one or two songs) to further 'personalise' the occasion.
